As part of the purchase agreement, Brett Grabowski of Milot Real Estate agreed in writing to correct several issues relating to the construction of the property.
Several years later, our condo association has spent many thousands of dollars correcting deficiencies in the construction of the condo units.
Beware before you have any dealings with Milot Real Estate. A review of previous legal action against them should also serve as warning.
However, after closing, Milot refused to fix the items they had agreed to correct. It took a complaint to the VT Attorney General's office and a consultation with a lawyer before they addressed just some of the issues - the rest were never corrected.
In addition, Milot Real Estate failed to complete the landscaping for the condo association per the specifications laid out in the site plan with the town. Unfortunately, these items were never completed.
I rented an apartment for 3 years from Brett Grabowski/Milot Real Estate. Upon leaving, they kept our entire security deposit. I sued in small claims and won a judgement for hundreds of dollars. Milot has still not paid what they owe me 2 months later. They are a dishonest business that build subpar structures and will cheat you at every opportunity. Do business with Milot Real Estate at your peril!
In my opinion, do not do business with Milot Real Estate.
In my opinion, Brett Grabowski is dishonest and would rather break a written contract than spend a few dollars to make things right. His wife, Jen Milot, who handles the property closings, is rude arrogant.
I bought a newly constructed condo from Milot Real Estate in 2005 and overall it was a terrible experience.
